Figures are gross, before taxes. Monthly is the annual figure divided by 12; biweekly is divided by 26; daily assumes a 5-day work week.
How to convert hourly pay to a salary
The math is simple once you know your schedule. To go from an hourly wage to a yearly salary, multiply your rate by the hours you work each week and then by the weeks you work each year:
Annual salary = hourly rate x hours per week x weeks per year
A standard full-time job is 40 hours a week for all 52 weeks, which is 2,080 hours a year. So $25 an hour comes to $25 x 2,080, or $52,000 a year. Drop to 50 weeks to allow for two unpaid weeks off and the same rate lands at $50,000. Part-time schedules scale the same way: 25 hours a week at $25 an hour is $32,500 a year.
To reverse it, divide the salary by the same yearly hours. A $60,000 salary over 2,080 hours is about $28.85 an hour. The calculator above handles both directions and lets you set your own hours and weeks.

Frequently asked questions
How do you convert hourly pay to a yearly salary?
Multiply your hourly rate by the hours you work per week, then by the number of weeks you work per year. For full-time work that is usually hourly rate x 40 x 52, which equals your rate times 2,080 hours. For example, $25 an hour full time is $25 x 2,080, or $52,000 a year.
How many work hours are in a year?
A standard full-time schedule is 40 hours a week for 52 weeks, which is 2,080 hours a year. If you take two weeks of unpaid time off, you would work about 2,000 hours instead.
How do you convert a salary to an hourly rate?
Divide your annual salary by the number of hours you work in a year. For a standard full-time schedule that is 2,080 hours, so a $60,000 salary works out to about $28.85 an hour.
